I love how concise and straight to the point this book is. The writing is so simple and straightforward, Douglas knows how to get to the point and not sugar coat anything.
I also enjoyed how he mentions other financial books and other resources that one could use to further advance their knowledge. This also shows that research was conducted for this book.
Poverty Proof is divided into two parts. Part 2 provides 50 ways to train your brain for wealth. In these ways, Douglas provide perfect examples allowing you to fully understand the point he is trying to convey. These ways are simple and can be easily integrated in our daily lives.
I enjoyed the fact that this is a South African based book and all the examples included cater for South African scenarios, which is not the case for international books. He talks about SARS and some of the ways you can save money throughout SARS.
I learnt a lot from this book and I have taken a few ways that I’ll be implementing in my life. And the good this is, you can easily go back to pick other ways in the near future. I’d highly recommend this book for everyone because we all need to know something about finances. If you’re about to start your first job, this is the boo for you because you can learn and stop yourself from making mistakes some of us have made in the past.
