Summary
The new spine-tingling, sinister thriller from the Sunday Timesbestselling author of The Chalk Man.
One night, Annie went missing. Disappeared from her own bed. There were searches, appeals. Everyone thought the worst. And then, miraculously, after forty-eight hours, she came back. But she couldn’t, or wouldn’t, say what had happened to her. Something happened to my sister. I can’t explain what. I just know that when she came back, she wasn’t the same. She wasn’t my Annie. I didn’t want to admit, even to myself, that sometimes I was scared to death of my own little sister.
My Thoughts
This was my first time reading a book by this author and I was amazed by how much I really enjoyed the writing its perfectly written. I loved the characters especially the main character, his humor was just perfectly executed and it kept me reading most of the time and couldn’t put the book down. So if you enjoy books like that check this one out. I don’t understand why parents-to child relationship don’t exist in most books. I was so frustrated but how the parents in this book handled other situations, it was just uncalled for. But anyways, the ending was a twist `i did not expect which is always good. However, other things are left to the reader’s imagination. Overall, I enjoyed the book and would highly recommend it if you want a fast paced thriller.

The electrifying new Alex Delaware thriller from global bestseller Jonathan Kellerman. First comes love…then comes murder.

My Thoughts
The plot was is really interesting and the setting was perfect. Its amazingly written which makes it way easier for the reader to follow the characters of which are so distinct. I loved these characters because you can easily identify them.
One challenge for me was the pacing of the story, I felt like it dragged a lot for no particular reason. It’s s understandable that we need a bit of background before the mystery gets solved but I felt like it was unnecessarily dragged. The ending was okay (I don’t want to say too much unless I end up spoiling the book for you because its always great to go into a book without knowing much). Thrillers can be a hit or miss for me but overall it was a solid read and I’d recommend you give it a try.
