Tuesday Motivation: Fear
Its a beautiful day hope you’re having a great week. Today’s post is a discussion one for something that is a challenge for most of us. On Friday, I was listening to something on YouTube and I stumbled upon something that inspired me a lot and I decided to share it here. I am sorry I don’t actually remember the name of the speaker thus I cannot link it.
Before we get to today’s topic, I’d like to know any topic ideas you’d like me to talk about, please do leave them in the comments section or send an email which you can find on my about/contact page.
So lets get started.
Definition: “an unpleasant often strong emotion caused by anticipation or awareness of danger”
The speaker was talking about how most of our fears are initiated by us. She gave an example of a child, how they can crawl to the edge of a balcony without the fear of what is going to happen. They don’t fear anything, they don’t even know what fear is (just a summary). This was so interesting to me thus I decided to read a bit about the topic at hand and I stumbled upon this quote:
“Love is what we were born with. Fear is what we learned here.”
This quote by Marianne Williamson and it supports exactly what the speaker was talking about. Most of our fears are learned. If you can do a simple test and list all your fears then check how did you encounter them. I believe that most of our fears we can get through them we just need to take a leap of faith. Do not get me wrong here, I have fears as well and I am trying to work on them.
Fear is one of the most powerful emotions. It has a very strong effect on your mind and body.
I definitely relate to this as most of the things I’d like to I am not doing just because of fear. But this year I decided to work slowly on them and I see so much progress. I’ll continue because when I am old, I’d like to look back and say “yes you did it“. Its not easy at times because it is something that has been a part of my life for long but I’m gonna dedicate myself to conquering my fears.
That is it for today, I just wanted to share that because sharing is caring.
Feel free to leave whats on your mind about this topic.
