A Tour of My Bookshelf!
There is something that interest me about tours i.e. room tours, bookshelf tours etc. I watch a lot of these on YouTube. I just love knowing which books people read, how many they own, and how they are organised. In this post, I’m going to jump on this bandwagon and give you a tour of my bookshelf. I don’t own a lot of shelves so this is going to be very quick. I’d like to know if you spot some of the books you own. I hope you enjoy!
Meet my bookshelf
I don’t really have a specific organisation routine, I just sorted them out using a way that seems good to me. I also wanted to display some of my favourite books or those that have beautiful covers. I feel its a lot of colors considering that all the spines were on the back for the past few months, but I decided to change them and i am kinda liking it for now. Let’s go into my shelf in more detail, starting from the top!
The Top shelves
These are the top of my shelf (right and left), mostly I have books I’ve read and a stack of books I need to get to immediately. There is nothing specific about the way I organized these books. I displayed two of my favourite book covers in these shelves.
The middle shelf/Poetry collection shelf
If you follow me on Instagram you might already know how much I love poetry, I’m constantly on a look out for poetry recommendations (If you have any please leave then in the comments section). I’d like to dedicate this shelf to poetry, but I currently own like 4 poetry books so I had to add other books as well. I also have a birthday card from last year which I adore. I also have a cup with bookmarks.
The left middle Shelf (Review Copies)
I actually like how this shelf is color coordinated. I dedicated this shelf to books I receive from publishers, but then some are books I bought (I’ll sort that out soon).
The Contemporary/triller Shelf
This one I just threw in books but initially I wanted to have contemporary books, maybe one day lool.
The Series Shelf
Out of all the shelves, this is my favourite shelf with my favourite author. I want this to be a series shelf, but I currently have two series that are not missing any books. I cannot wait to read the grisha trilogy. Six of crows duology is my favourite. I need to get more series, if you have any recommendations please let me know.
The Left Bottom Shelf (TBR)
This shelf only consist of books I need to read and I love the cover of Jane Austen’s collection, super excited to get to it soon.
The Right Bottom Shelf (Work)
The last shelf consist of my work related books and the black one is my thesis.
And that’s it! I have like 4 books in my room that I’m currently reading. I don’t really know how many books I own, I did not count but its not a lot as you can see lol.
If you have something specific you’d like to see, please let me know.
