The year is almost over, like in 2 months. Which is crazy, right??? Where has the year even gone??? Seriously, I can’t believe that it’s almost the end of the year. Anyways, today I decided to write a post about the books I plan to read before the year ends. I only included a few, so that I don’t set myself up for failure. I guess if I share it as a blog post, I would get the motivation to do it lol and not slack off hopefully.
Some of the books I’ve had on my shelves for some time and still haven’t read. Hopefully, I succeed and get to read these books. Let’s get to it, below are the books I want to try and read before the year ends.
Half of the yellow sun – By Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie
I read my first Chimamanda’s book (Americanah) sometime this year which took me a long time to finish lol. I wanted to get to this book after Americanah but I couldn’t, so I decide to read something different. I think I’ve been a little worried that it might also take me a long time to complete. Therefore, I think I’ve been putting it off for quite some time now and I finally think its time I got to it.
The inexplicable logic of my life –By Benjamin Alire Sáenz
This book has been on my tbr for quite some time now. I’ve read good reviews about it and I want to get to it before the year ends and see if it lives up to the hype. After reading Aristotle and Dante discover the secrets of the universe (review here), I wanted to read his other books because I really enjoyed his writing style.
Kings Cage – ByVictoria Aveyard
At the beginning of this year my plan was to read the The Read Queen series and currently I’ve managed to read the first two books (red queen and queen sword) and I enjoyed them. So I want to read the third book before the year ends so that I can be ready for the 4th book if it comes out next year.
Eagle in the sky – By Wilbur Smith
I’ve had this book for almost two years now, I started reading it last year and I couldn’t get past the first 20 pages. I guess I was not up for it at that time. So I think its time for me to read this book so that I can start buying new books lol.
The Girl who came back – By Susan Lewis
Just like the one above, I’ve had this for more than 2 years. I only read a few pages and I guess I wasn’t up for it, so now I think its time for me to get to it hopefully.
These are the 5 books I want to try and read before the year ends!! Have you read any of these books? What were your thoughts?
Which books are you planning to read before the year ends?
Until I write again.
