Are you an introvert like I am 😉 and sometimes have difficulty communicating with other people or carrying on a conversation? If your answer is yes, then you should read this book. If was a no still read the book because it will make a influence on the way you communicate with i.e. friends, family, co-workers. This book teaches you how to deal with people in general and in business if you’re an entrepreneur. This is a self-help book that is packed with a lot of advice’s that will have profound effect if we practice them. It contains good advice for all sorts of situations i.e. networking, selling or resolving conflict etc. I would really recommend this book and below are some of the points covered in the book.

  • Fundamentals techniques in handling people:
    • Don’t criticism, condemn or complain
    • Give honest and sincere appreciation
    • Arouse an eager want
  • Six ways to make people like you:
    • Smile
    • Remember a person’s name
    • Become genuinely interested in other people
    • Be a good listener
  • Win people to your way of thinking
    • Avoid an argument
    • Never say you’re wrong
    • If you’re wrong, admit it quickly and emphatically
    • Try honestly to see things from the other person’s point of view
  • Change people without arousing resentment
    • Begin with praise and honest appreciation
    • Call attention to people’s mistakes indirectly
    • Ask questions instead of giving direct orders


I really enjoyed the writing style of the book, which is simple and I was captivated by the advice’s provided throughout the book. It’s one of those book I’ll definitely re-read.
